Here's a few pictures from this past weekend (7/25/13). Most memorable was the fantastic hike I took alone up Neff's Canyon on Saturday afternoon. More on that later. The first two pictures are from Shawn Sandberg's wedding at Mt. Timpanogos Temple. Afterward, Mallory joined us for a nice lunch at Mekong when we got back to SL. We all had a great time visiting.

My gorgeous wife and her beautiful sister. And, no, she didn't make me say it. Utah County made me call them "Sister Wives"

The trail head map for Neff's Canyon. The original plan was to hike up Neff's and down Millcreek, but I got a little lost, tired and cliffed out. Plus I'm a wuss. You'll notice at the top of the map the trail isn't really defined. I think that's on purpose.

Above the meadow at 7600' in elevation the views and the flowers really get spectacular. Oddly enough not many people venture above the meadow. Too bad for them.
In several wild-flower-filled meadows I had to give the plentiful and enormous bumble bees a wide berth lest they call their friends, sting me silly, then carry me away.

It's really tough to capture the wildflower beauty on film. All these pics were taken with my cell phone camera.
About 8400' in elevation this worn out, but still functioning spring provided a much-needed refill. In hindsight I probably needed to take a left just before this spring if I wanted to follow the ridgeline back down towards Desolation or Thayne Canyon and down into Millcreek.
In taking the wrong turn the reward at 8800' looking east into the "unexplored" region of Mill B North Fork basin was a wonderful bonus. I figured that about 1/2 mile beyond the ridge in the center of the picture is Mt. Raymond. Below, Antelope Island and the GSL can be seen before panning south and east into the nether regions of Mt. Olympus wilderness.
pretty awesome dad. Glad you took your phone so we can see these pictures. Looks like fun, be safe!
